Ron has had over 25 year of hands-on Canada/U.S.A.
Commercial Credit, Collections and Accounts
Receivables Management experience, which he
incorporates into the training of the dedicated to
company collections staff and the management and
supervision of each client company receivables
portfolio to drive the effectiveness and cash
collection results of the employees dedicated to
each client company's receivables portfolio.
Ron's commercial credit and collections management
experience includes; senior level collections
management positions, with leading industry, fortune
500 corporations in New York and New Jersey,
including small and medium-sized corporation in
Canada.
Ron's hands-on credit and collections management
journey began in New York as a graduate of the New
York institute of credit and financial management,
complemented with a senior level Credit/Collections
position with a fortune 500 Corporation which later
escalated into senior management roles. Since then,
Ron has worked in a similar capacity in a cross
section of industries, including; Advertising,
Service, Manufacturing, 3rd party Agency and
Government.
To enhance the results and effectiveness of his
staff in various companies and organizations to
achieve a high level of professional effectiveness
and cash collections, Ron created a training system
which he used to drive the effectiveness of his
staff to achieving established collections goals
across all receivable aging levels. Ron developed
the training system as a result of his realization
early in his career, that most collections people
learned the collections business from on-the-job
exposure, and as a result, duplicated old habits and
beliefs that were no longer effective.
As a result of the effectiveness of the training
system, and the ease with which his collections team
was able to transfer the training to their job, to
collect more money by design rather than by default,
across all industries, in 2001 Ron created the
Collections Training Seminar and began offering the
seminar as an in-house program as well as in a
public seminar format.
Since the first open to the public seminar in 2001,
Ron has conducted this seminar in cities across
Canada and the United States. In addition, Ron has
conducted this seminar for various corporations
on-site, customized to their product, service,
credit terms, industry, and competitive
requirements, to address their specific corporate
receivable and revenue cycle management needs and
focus.
In 2002 Ron expanded the services of CollectAR
beyond training to include providing
business-to-business accounts receivable management
and collections outsourcing services. In 2008, to
further enhance the cost benefits of outsourcing to
the business clients industry, Ron moved the
collections work-flow office to its Walkers Park
office in Barbados. With the collections center
office located in Barbados, Ron set the service
system to focus on providing dedicated to clients
employee system.
This way, client can staff their collections
department with employees provided by CollectAR, who
work from the CollectAR office in Barbados,
performing all of the receivables management,
collections and cash applications functions for
clients from Barbados on a fixed fee per employee
system.
In addition to his collections and collections staff
training experience and skills, Ron brings to each
client staff and collections portfolio an
entrepreneurial management style that focuses on the
bottom-line making it easy to communicate at all
levels of management.
Ron has a strong accounting and financial management
background complemented with hands-on
entrepreneurial management experience. His
entrepreneurial experience included having founded,
operated, built two successful accounting and tax
services business, including
TRUCKTAX, Inc.
He knows how to build a business from the idea stage
and manage and create all the procedures, while
keeping an eye on the accounts receivable cash flow
contribution by establishing and managing good
workable credit and collections policies and honing
the skills level of his staff. As a result,
CollectAR, under the hands-on management of Ron
Johnson, brings more to each clients portfolio. |
